He’s not quite The Marlboro Man, but the guy living in a billboard on Sunset Boulevard should still garner some attention. A man began living inside a furnished billboard above Sunset Boulevard today as part of a promotional campaign for Netflix‘s upcoming film The Last House, which releases tomorrow on streaming. The installation, at Sunset and Selma Avenue, features kind of a large, bay window built into a billboard that has with a furnished living room inside. It stands about 30 feet off the ground. Through Saturday, the performer will interact with commuters and passersby using a whiteboard while remaining inside the enclosed space. blogherads.adq.push(function () { blogherads .defineSlot( 'medrec', 'gpt-dsk-tab-mid-article1-uid0' ) .setTargeting( 'pos', ) .setTargeting( 'viewable', 'yes' ) .setSubAdUnitPath("ros\/mid-article") .addSize(,,,,,,,,]) .exemptFromSleep() .setClsOptimization("minsize") ; }); A video posted by Netflix showed the man dressed in a bath robe and eating what looked like cereal. The man was also seen using binoculars to take in the sights overlooking the Sunset Strip. The film stars Greta Lee and Wagner Moura and was directed by Louis Leterrier. The billboard installation follows the reopening of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood after repairs to a major water main break near Holloway Drive. City News Service contributed to this report. Updated on: July 31, 2026 / 1:22 PM EDT / CBS News A U.K.-based production company and a filmmaker are suing Netflix for $105 million, alleging the streaming company lost a drive containing a copy of an unreleased espionage movie, which they claim undermined its commercial prospects. The complaint filed on Wednesday in California district court alleges that the film's associate producer, Daniel Haido, hand-delivered an unencrypted master copy of the film to Netflix so the company could screen it as a potential buyer.
